The London Safeguarding Forum (DDISS) coordinates Anti-Bullying Week in UKand we are very pleased to announce that the theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2021, which is taking place from Monday 15th to Friday 19TH November, as One Kind Word.
The theme has been developed across all four nations of UK and included the support of children in young people in the designing and messaging.
We’re working hard behind the scenes to plan a jampacked Anti-Bullying Week programme this year but you can be sure it’ll include some of our much-loved activities and events such as Odd Socks Day, Resource Packs and our fabulous Creative Arts Competition.
DDISS are excited to be working with CBBC and CBeebies stars Andy and the Odd Socks. The band will release a totally rocking tune to celebrate Odd Socks Day as part of Anti-Bullying Week and whilst we can’t reveal too much, if last year’s song is anything to go by, it will be a show stopper!
Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! The message behind Odd Socks Day is to be kind to each other and respect each other’s individuality.
School resources – these cross-curricular activity ideas will be tailored to ensure they can be delivered either face to face or online
Creative Arts competition – An opportunity for young people to get creative while spreading the anti-bullying message.
Social Media Toolkit– ways to get involved online with resources and ideas about how to play your part on social media
LG-T21 Calendar of Events– DDISS and our member organisations, will be organising a calendar of events for everyone with an interest in working together to realise our vision of a society where children and young people can live free and feel safe from bullying.
We look forward to sharing our full programme of activities with you in September 2021.
Visit the webpage, Twitter and also check your emails for more information on how to get involved.
